The Rare Academy desires students to get the most out of their “Rare Experience”. In order for this to happen, we have established the following guidelines. If you may have any questions or concerns, feel free to speak with any staff member.
Orientation: Our first class meeting is an opportunity for parents and students to meet their instructors and program directors. We will discuss the expectations for the semester, review important dates, and answer questions. Please note this meeting on your calendars.
Parent Observation: Parents are not allowed to remain in the classroom while classes are in session. This prevents students from feeling any additional anxiety. Parents will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to the final production of the semester. Parents will also be asked to complete a FINAL SURVEY at the conclusion of the semester to express their opinion of the program and where improvements can be made.
Absences: Regular, punctual attendance is strongly recommended for success at The Rare Academy. We understand absences that are due to religious holidays and family emergencies. Please see that your student catches up on the material that was missed due to their absence.
Inclement Weather Policy: In the instance of inclement weather, a decision will be made whether to cancel or continue with classes by 1pm. Staff will notify parents via the contact information provided. More reliable sources are our Facebook and Instagram pages.
